The
Be With Me Playseum is all about providing a warm environment
where kids can be with thier parents. We are a children's used bookstore in the design of a cityscape with
hands-on fun bringing family and community together under one roof. This
is place where parent and child come in feeling good and leave feeling
great! Our vision is simple: we want kids to create and parents to relate.
Our mission is clear: when you come into play you help a child far away.

Capitol
Hill Children of Deaf Parents (CHCDP) is a group of deaf parents
in Washington DC who are committed to ensuring their young deaf and
hearing children experience a wonderful well-rounded urban life.
In the warm
and neighborly spirit of Capitol Hill, these parents host various events
including an annual Halloween bash, an annual Christmas party, a Valentine
gathering, and more. They also convene at various events in Washington
DC and the suburbs of the metropolitan area. CHCDP’s goal is
simple – to provide their young deaf and hearing children with
fun-filled memories while growing up in the Nation’s capitol.

Open a book
to a child and you open the door to a new world. The Library
of Congress welcomes children, teens and adults to the Young
Readers Center, a place especially designed for young people.
Young people
are encouraged to explore the center’s library of current and
classic books, which can be read onsite. Adults can also read aloud
to their children from a selection of preschool-appropriate books by
the nation’s best authors and illustrators. This collection of
books is noncirculating, and readers are encouraged to check with their
school and local public libraries for copies that they can borrow and
enjoy at home to complete their reading.
The Curious
George Campaign promotes the value of parents reading to their
children.
